Let's save some money! Most therapists don't accept insurance. I do. I’ll work with your insurance so you can focus on your care, without worrying about cost. You can use your Aetna, Anthem, Apostrophe, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Bright, Care First, Friday, Kaiser, Medicare, Optum, United, Cigna, Oscar, and Oxford insurance plans to pay for therapy.
I also offer self-pay on a sliding scale.
What Happens During Counseling?
During therapy we explore issues through a Christian and biblical lens and come to an understanding of why we feel as we do and then progress forward to alleviate the stress in life. When we suffer from anxiety or depression often the answer is found in understand the root cause of these disorders. It’s often not what we think. Anxiety could be the result of our body trying to protect the self. Or depression could be the result of assigning blame to ourselves when in fact we were the innocent one. In other words, I merge modern psychology and biblical wisdom in my practice and use the best of both.
Understanding leads to change and balance. I provide value to you by giving you the tools whereby you can understand how your past informs your present. As a Christian counselor, I want to provide you with the insight to understand what is going on in your cognitive life so that you can begin to get out of the rut that is keeping you back from being fulfilled and pursuing life to its spiritual fullest.
